Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, why it is used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use the website, you consent to these practices.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; we do not keep a separate log of those search terms.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email or contact message as needed to answer it. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads:

  • Page-view times and the pages visited
  • Device type and operating system
  • Your device's assigned IP address
  • Browser name and version
  • Visit duration for each page
  • A referring site, when one exists

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. Together with analytics services, they help aggregate traffic patterns such as popular pages and exit points. A browser can block cookies, though doing so may change how parts of the site work.

What We Do With This Data

  • Finding and repairing technical faults
  • Routing a query to the selected search partner
  • Maintaining site speed and availability
  • Understanding which pages are useful
  • Displaying ads that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not compile, store, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how to reach custodians of Delta County records, including the Sheriff's Office, Delta Combined Court, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a third-party record or consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy terms, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to information entered there, and we do not control those practices. Review the provider's policy before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to sheriff, court, state-agency, legal-aid, or outside search sites. Once you leave, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.

Some advertising companies may track activity across websites for targeted ads. That tracking occurs through their systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Standard safeguards protect the information we collect, but no internet service can promise absolute security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

The website is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If a minor has supplied information, contact us so it can be removed.

Your Data Rights

Colorado law, including the Colorado Privacy Act, C.R.S. §§ 6-1-1301 through 6-1-1313, may provide additional rights based on residence and statutory coverage. At a minimum, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

We may revise this policy. A new version will appear here with its updated effective date.
